Patrick Burglass graduated from Samford University in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Cumberland School of Law in 2019 with a Juris Doctor. He has a strong passion for American constitutional law, American politics, collegiate and professional sports, movies, music, and Southern culture. He is a member of the Federalist Society and Jefferson County Republican Party.
A Louisiana native, Patrick had opportunities to see and meet people of different backgrounds and developed a strong interest in American government and history over the years, which inspired his attraction to law. He is also a man of faith, performing in Samford University's Step-Sing in consecutive years for University Ministries, a member of Reformed University Fellowship, and attends Shades Mountain Baptist Church in Birmingham. Before law school, Patrick served as an intern for the Louisiana Republican Party and worked for Bill Cassidy's successful 2014 United States Senate campaign. During law school, he clerked for Baton Rouge attorney Bertha Iturralde Taylor, interned for the Southwestern Athletic Conference's compliance department, and clerked for Reid Law Firm. From this he developed strong interpersonal and writing skills that enable him to thrive in this profession.
